I plan to use this space to comment on current events related to genetic research and discuss how these events relate to course material. I will draw on sources such as the New York Times and recent journal articles from the primary literature. You will not be tested on material I post to the blog. I hope for this to be an informal way that I can share my enthusiasm for genetics with you and point out some discoveries that have caught my eye in the news.
I encourage students to comment to my blog and add material of their own. Please post questions on course material to the the appropriate Smartsite forum on the class web site. You can also discuss issues with your classmates in the chat room.
